Kelsey is an award-winning director that specializes in poignant documentary filmmaking and authentic, compelling branded & commercial content. Above all, she is passionate about telling stories for and about underrepresented populations.

Her films have premiered at Tribeca, SXSW, Hot Docs, and in the New York Times.

Kelsey’s creative passion for directing came at a young age, when she’d pick up a camera and start filming wherever she went. Her goal was to capture and cherish the precious memories of those around her. That innate passion grew into a flourishing career working with other creatives to motivate and broaden the worldview of her audiences. She attended and graduated from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts in 2014 as a first-generation Haitian-American filmmaker.

On her American side, Kelsey’s mother is an elementary school teacher, and her grandmother owns a thriving small business. On her Haitian side, her Father found a unique calling and dedicated his 30+ year career to working with kids at the YMCA and Boys & Girls Clubs. He is now semi-retired and still spends most days enriching the lives of children and young adults.

When Kelsey isn’t behind the camera, she’s flying high as an aerial acrobat, sailing the Pacific and embracing her entrepreneurial spirit. Kelsey believes that the longevity and depths of relationships make for a truly enriched life, and that there’s no real limit to creative endeavors that can inspire change.

Kelsey has directed for Microsoft, Mercedes, Ford, Ram, Facebook, John Legend, Hershey’s, Johnson & Johnson, Stand Up to Cancer, and more. She’s currently working on passion projects, commercials, and building relationships to collaborate on longform and narrative stories.

Recently,

Kelsey co-wrote her first narrative short with director Will Niava - it is currently in post production. She acted in her first film, Serious People, (directed by her classmates from Chapman) which premiered at Sundance in 2025. She is an active board member for her local Boys & Girls Club, and volunteers regularly. Kelsey continues to expand her skillset and embrace multiple facets of the industry, showcasing limitless curiosity and excitement for her future endeavors. She’s always open to new connections and meeting collaborators.
